CONFLUENZA
Confluenza
"A Farmer's Day" was the theme of our field trip to La Confluenza of Osimo: after a walk in the garden to discover the various herbs, our pupils arrived at the vegetable garden where they were able to plant beans that they will then return to harvest when what has been sown will bear fruit. Why is it important for children to be involved in activities such as creating and tending a vegetable garden? The benefits are many: 1. It awakens in them an interest in nature;
- It promotes learning, as children can learn the names of certain plants, the cycle of the seasons, and planting times;
- It helps children eat more fruits and vegetables: they will have much more curiosity in tasting the fruit of their work;
- It increases children's respect for our planet, sense of responsibility and self-esteem as they see and touch the fruit of their work.
