The school field trip to the Ca' di Luna donkey farm was an experience that allowed our children to learn a lot about donkeys and their world. Donkeys teach us meekness and the ability to be together; with them we pursue the pleasure of slowness in the age of haste. The rediscovery of the donkey for its inherent qualities of patience, gentleness, determination, perseverance has allowed us to re-evaluate its collaboration in activities that allow us to increase opportunities for interaction, attention span, self-esteem, foster respect and recognition of the other and of self and increase the ability to socialize and communicate.
