RAINBOW GROUP INAUGURATES MIR - MARCHE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL THE NEW INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PROJECT BASED IN CIVITANOVA MARCHE

The Kindergarten, Primary and Middle School will start from September 2024

Civitanova Marche, 20 March 2024 - The Marche Region will have its first school with international scope, preparing to welcome Italian and foreign students and teenagers aged 3 to 14 from the academic year 2024/2025.

It is the new campus of the MIS - Marche International School, a bilingual Italian and English school born from the ambitious investment of the group led by Iginio Straffi in a modern, eco-sustainable, well-equipped, and state-of-the-art facility that will extend over an area of 4000 square metres in Civitanova Marche, in the province of Macerata.

This is the first private, non-parity school with an international scope, which in addition to obtaining recognition from the Ministry of Education, aims to receive the "Cambridge Assessment International Education" certification from Cambridge University.

The school will initially offer three kindergarten classes, five primary school classes and three middle school classes, and in the coming years it will expand its educational offer with secondary school classes. The project will be further extended to include large green areas, laboratories, a tennis court, well-equipped gyms, and a residence to accommodate students from outside the region or international students in order to become a true campus.

The facility is designed down to the smallest detail and has large windows overlooking the sea, allowing students a continuous visual and perceptive interaction with the outside world, the optimal use of natural light and heating as opposed to artificial ones: large indoor and outdoor spaces to stimulate the creativity and personal enrichment of each student.

Marche International School is based on values such as bilingualism, internationality, multidisciplinarity, talent development, inquiry-based approach, creativity, and training in a conducive environment.

The curriculum proposed to students will comply with Ministry of Education guidelines and will be enriched with subjects that follow international curricula and allow children and young people to explore global concepts and issues.

“Civitanova is honoured to host a school with such an international openness, the first of its kind in the entire Marche region," said Civitanova Marche’s Mayor Fabrizio Ciarapica. "It is certainly an innovative school that will open the doors to an international future and that fits in well with this administration's guidelines on education and training. Civitanova is becoming an increasingly attractive city, and the opening of this school, like that of other very important activities, is confirmation of this. I thank the entrepreneur Iginio Straffi for this great opportunity, that will allow us to make a significant cultural leap, but also for having chosen to invest in the future of young people through educational and professional excellence”.

"We believe in children and build structures that allow them to develop skills for their future. The great added value of Made in Italy, which finds here in the Marche one of the most productive regions in the world in terms of excellence, lies in human capital, in people: today we need culture, multidisciplinarity and skills combined with tradition and innovation so that Italian quality can open up more and more to the future. With the Marche International School, we prepare students to open up to the international scene" - says Iginio Straffi, Founder of Rainbow Group - "MIS aims at adding value to our educational projects, born in 2017 with the Liberi Reggiomonte International School in Loreto, which welcomes more and more children every year".

Underlying the education offered are excellent academic standards to maximise each child's potential and talent, promoting both social and emotional development. Many extracurricular activities will be available for the students directly on the campus, which will be enriched year after year with many more facilities.

Headmaster James Heanley: " I am delighted to take on the role of inaugural principal at Marche International School. To pioneer such an endeavor in Le Marche, the first of its kind, is indeed a privilege. I approach this honor with a profound sense of responsibility, yet confidence and support: I understand what Iginio and the team have already accomplished at Liberi Reggiomonte. Through them, the foundation has been set for a progressive school with an engaging curriculum, global perspective, and research-backed pedagogy. Equipped with exceptional facilities, dedicated educators, and unwavering determination, we aspire to create an environment where every child is empowered, inspired, and celebrated for their unique potential. I look forward to witnessing the transformation of Le Marche's youth into global citizens, destined to bring pride and distinction to our region on the world stage."

Exclusive ambassador of the new school project promoted by Rainbow will be none other than Elisabetta Dami, author of children's fiction, known worldwide as the creator of Geronimo Stilton, who for years has been actively promoting the universal values that accompany the growth and education of the youngest children through her work and lifestyle.

"Iginio Straffi and his wife Joanne Lee have been my esteemed friends for many years now. Like them, I have dedicated my life to writing and to the world of the little ones for the sake of healthy growth, respect for traditions and promoting values and cultural emancipation. I am honoured to be an ambassador of Marche International School, and that what we create in our works has the chance to become real. I strongly believe in friendship, I strongly believe in what we do, and I hope that this initiative, born in Civitanova and the Marches, a small region indeed well known for its values and culture, will expand worldwide. Working as a team is the winning method that will lead to the success of this important project'.

Designed to contribute to the growth of tomorrow's citizens and foster the progress of the region and communities, the MIS project also provides scholarships for students.
